What is the process to become part of Malachi

2. A breif prequalifying phone call. Makin sure that you are good fit for us that you really want to pursue being on this team.

3. Verify that you are in agreement with our doctrinal statement. http://www.cadence.org/home/cadence-core-beliefs/ Read through all 3 sections. If you have questions please do not hesitate to ask.

4. We send you an application.

5. You return your app with 5 references.

6. We evaluate your application and then notify you of our decision

7. Begin raising support if you are an intern or make plans to come to candidacy training if you are coming with us for longer than a year.

How long are internships for?

10 weeks to a year. Depends on your time frame that you are able to break away for. We customize the internship accomadate who you are according to your skill set, passions and strengths

Can I request where I would like to serve?

Yes. But we also place people strategically. So you may request where you would like to go but that may not be the best fit for you, the community director or even the community.

How much do I have to raise?

for a single summer internship you will need to raise 35-3700. This includes all your travel there and back, food, lodging, ministry expenses that are incurred when working with kids. It does not include any salary though that can be adjusted to provide some salary, it just means that you would have to raise more funds.

How much does a year intership cost?

Single year long internship will require to raise approx. $2900 a month. This takes care of all expenses including your rent for an appt, transportation, insurances, travel, ministry with kid money, some salary and administration costs. If we are able to secure cheaper housing then we deduct that from the monthly support need. If your requirement for a salary for an internship is less than $900 then your monthly need would be less.

When Raising Support how many contacts will I need?

If you are single you will need to have about 200 people on your mailing list. If you are married you will need to have about 300.

Do you offer training in support raising?

Yes. Most of our people go through kingdom come training which is done by Jerry Long. www.kingdomcometraining.com Plus, you will have someone who will track your progress and be there to help you through this process
